We’ll be playing our first show for the year next Wednesday night as guests of our friends 21 Love Hotel at the second of their “Welcome to the 21 Love Hotel” evenings at Divan du Monde in Paris. Heligoland will be playing first, onstage at 7:30pm.

Last weekend we spent two very busy days at Robin’s studio near Rennes recording the last remaining guitar overdubs, vocals and harmonies for the new album. Robin’s coffee machine emitted an audible sigh of relief as we packed up after two very full days of recording sessions. We’ve now finished all the tracking for the record and listening back to the songs one after the other at the end of the sessions it was amazing to hear how the songs had evolved and grown through the recording process. There’s quite a lot of variety amongst the eleven tracks that we’ve recorded but there is definitely the feeling that they belong together, they’re an album.
We don’t have a title for the album just yet, but we’re working on it! More recording news soon when we get started on mixing…
